ケッペ（渡し舟）は束草市内とアバイ村を繋ぐ唯一の交通手段です。対岸までワイヤーロープが2本繋がっており、それぞれに舟が一艘ずつ固定されています。ワイヤーロープに金具をひっかけて引っ張ると船が前進する仕組みになっており、お年寄りや子ども、体が不自由な人を除き、乗船者全員が引っ張らなければ舟は動きません。ケッペはここでしか体験できないので、束草に行ったらぜひ乗ってみましょう。

小公園から左側の渓谷にかかった飛竜橋を渡れば、権金城（クォングムソン）まで続く道があります。しかし、急な岩道(2.5キロ)を1時間もかけて登らなくてはなりませんが、ケーブルカーを利用すれば容易に権金城に登ることができます。雪岳洞の小公園内の険峻な岩山の上にそびえ立つ2,100ｍの山城が権金城です。権金城が建てられた正確な時期は明らかになっていませんが、新羅時代に権氏と金氏の2人の将軍が戦禍を逃れるために作ったため、権金城と言われているという説があります。ここからは、外雪岳と東海の海が目の前に広がる絶景を眺めることができます。

釜山駅前の草梁（チョリャン）には「上海通り(サンヘ・コリ)」と呼ばれる通りを中心にしたチャイナタウンがあります。1884年中国・上海から姉妹校流を結んだことによりこの草梁地域に領事館や華僑の学校などが設けられ中国人が多く居住するエリアになりました。大通りに面しては釜山市と上海市が共同で設置した中華風デザインの「上海門」があり、周辺には美味しい中華料理の店が多くあります。カンヌ映画祭でグランプリを受賞した韓国映画「オールドボーイ」には餃子が重要なアイテムとして登場しますが、主人公が餃子を食べ歩くシーンはここで撮影されました。

2001年9月にオープン釜山アシアード・メイン競技場は、スポーツ競技や各種イベントを開催することの出来る多目的スタジアム。 地上4階地下1階で、 陸上競技のためのトラックや国際規格に沿って作られた芝のサッカーグラウンドがあるほか、約5万5千席の観客席、そしてその観客席を全て覆うことのできる半開放型の屋根が特徴。 2002年にはあの韓日共同開催で沸いたワールドカップ競技大会も行われ、韓国がポーランド戦がで初勝利を収めた場所。韓国国内プロサッカーリーグの釜山アイコンズのホームグラウンドでもあります。
